The cap takes waterline algae on one face and lawn runoff on the other. It cleans up properly, but the pressure that works on a cap is not the pressure that works on the patio three feet behind it, and running one setting across both is how caps get pitted.

Wind off open water drives moisture at the back elevation and across the roof plane behind it all season. On a canal lot that is the side with the glass, the deck and the view, and it is the side that goes first. We quote the whole envelope rather than the three walls visible from the road.
